Nicholas Clapton is an English countertenor, singing teacher and author. He is particularly know for countertenor roles in contemporary opera and romantic art song. He has performed in major opera houses and concert halls around the world, and has given twenty-nine world premieres - including six operas. He is now a Professor of Singing at the Royal Academy of Music.

She first visited Dartington as a student on the Opera Course.
