In 2016 I was commissioned to make portraits of musicians, singers and conductors who were teaching or performing at Dartington Summer School and Festival – my brief, to show them in the setting of Dartington Hall and the Gardens.

This is Joanna MacGregor – Pianist, Head of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music, a Professor of London University and Artistic Director of Dartington International Summer School and Festival.
Joseph Havlat – Pianist and composer from Perth, Western Australia, currently studying piano at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Martyna Kaźmierczak- Polish fortepianist and harpshichordist. David Miller – soloist, and accompanist and continuo player on lute, theorbo and early guitars. Sarah Gabriel – soprano and actor. Black Voices – Carol Pemberton, Music Director and Celia Wickham-Anderson of Black Voices, a female a cappella quintet formed in 1987. Florian Mitrea – Romanian pianist. Ensemble Meridiana – Baroque ensemble. Jill Kemp – Recorder player. Veronika Shoot – Russian born pianist. Merit Ariane Stephanos – German/Egyptian singer and composer who specialises in Arab and Middle Eastern vocal music. Andrew Watts – countertenor. Sian Edwards – conductor. Richard Williams – theatre director. Stevie Wishart – composer and improviser and performer on the hurdy-gurdy and medieval violin. Richard Williams and Sarah Gabriel Richard Tunnicliffe – player of cello, baroque cello and viols.
